Prevent Breast Cancer With Walking


One of the diseases that lurk menopausal age women is breast cancer. A healthy lifestyle is something that must be done to prevent the disease, one with regular walking.

Based on research conducted by a team of French, 30-minute walk every day can reduce the risk of breast cancer in women over the age of 50 years. The benefits of prevention apply only to those who exercise since 4 years earlier.

They analyzed data from the questionnaires were done by 59 308 women who had experienced menopause.

"We found that recreational physical activity appears to have a rapid effect in reducing the risk of breast cancer. However, the benefits will stop if not resumed physical activity," said Agnes Fournier, researchers.

Dr. Fournier, in his research in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, said, walking four hours a week or cycling or doing other exercise two hours a week is recommended.

"No need to do the activities that are too heavy and often, even walking 30 minutes a day also has its benefits," she said.
